The Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery (ISVS), since its inception in 1977 at HAU, Hisar, has sustained remarkable growth amidst evolving technical and manpower landscapes. Over the years, ISVS has significantly contributed to strengthening the surgical ecosystem of India through 48 technical symposia and the regular publication of its journal, IJVS.

Today, the surgical ecosystem is witnessing rapid transformation, driven by the rise of private pet practitioners and the instant availability of technical information. While considerable training opportunities are offered by other agencies, the academic fabric of veterinary surgery continues to be nurtured and enriched by ISVS.

At this juncture, ISVS calls for focused and dedicated efforts from its newly elected Executive Council members to further enhance the technical depth and reach of the Society across the country. I am confident that each member will strive with commitment and vision to keep the ISVS flag flying high.

Let us continue to uphold the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and academic excellence.
